Whenever she has free time, Barbara heads out to the country for long walks. She enjoys the freedom of being out
in the sunshine and fresh air. Her favorite pastime is attending her grandchildren's sports activities. She is actively involved in her church and enjoys weekends
and holidays with her large family.
LONG-TERM INVOLVEMENT
Community organizations have been relying on Barbara for a long time. She
is Past Chairman of the Board of the House of T.I.M.E., a recovery program for women with drug
and alcohol problems. She was involved with the Junior League's inauguration of the
redevelopment of the historic district of Columbus. She has been on the board of the Youth
Orchestra of Greater Columbus for a number of years, as well as
the Columbus Symphony and the Columbus State University
Patrons of Music.
She volunteered with Columbus Reads.
